Promoting excellence in the martial arts since 1995

Universal Kenpo Karate Studios (formerly Cadena's Kenpo Karate), was founded in August of 1995 by Joey and Sandra Cadena and has been producing quality martial artists that have the gift of sponteneity in combat thanks to the highly effective self-defense system created by Senior Grandmaster Chuck Sullivan and Grandmaster Vic Le Roux.
As a student of Universal Kenpo Karate Studios, you are also affiliated with the I.K.C.A. Any rank you attain will be sanctioned by an international organization like the Karate Connection. Therefore, you are guaranteed the highest possible standards of instruction.
The first school, which opened in 1995, was located in Falfurrias, Texas and was in operation for 10 years. Throughout the years, the school produced many local, state, and international champions in forms, fighting, and self-defense. Mr. and Mrs. Cadena were actively involved with local and state agencies in promoting character, respect, and discipline among their students and the youth of their community.
In December of 2007, Mr. and Mrs. Cadena opened their newest school located in Edinburg, Texas.
